In 2018, The Clothworkers’ Foundation and Jersey Overseas Aid provided grants for a three-year project that expanded our eye care work in rural southern Ethiopia, with a focus on trachoma elimination. By the end of the project, over 736,000 people had been treated with antibiotics to tackle infectious trachoma and over 2,400 surgeries had been carried out to address the painful, late stage of blinding trachoma.
