Trusts Fundraising Manager

This role is a key part of income generation at Orbis UK, helping our mission to eliminate avoidable blindness globally. It has oversight of all our fundraising from trusts and foundations in the UK and across Europe, with significant scope for growth, especially in Europe.

By delivering excellent and tailored stewardship to existing charitable trusts supporters, working creatively to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained, this post contributes over £500,000 of restricted and unrestricted funding to Orbis UK.

This post reports to the Head of Partnerships, who has overall responsibility for Corporate Partnerships and Trusts and Foundations fundraising.

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £40,000 full-time (depending on experience)

The main responsibilities of this role include

  • Lead on the cultivation and solicitation of charitable trusts and foundations across UK and Europe that could support the work of Orbis UK.
  • Deliver first class stewardship and relationship management to Orbis UK trust donors to maximise the value and length of their support to the organization.
  • Work with the Head of Partnerships and Director of Fundraising and Communications to identify key influencers for current and potential funders, developing strategies to secure their support.
  • Work closely with the Programme Funding Team to keep abreast of programme developments, and proactively share these with donors to build credibility and trust.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate to ensure that trust fundraising activities benefit from shared working approaches wherever possible, utilizing the latest case for supports, branding and gathered contents.
  • Work with the database team to analyse data on trusts and foundations to generate insight to inform future plans and approaches.
