Public Giving and Engagement

This role is responsible for managing the Orbis UK website and integration with associated channels (Search Marketing, paid social activity and email engagement). The role sits within the Public Giving and Engagement team, which is responsible for inspiring our supporters and members of the public to give to Orbis UK.

This role will be a leading part of the team that builds an integrated approach to supporter engagement primarily through digital marketing and will initially focus on converting our existing organisational website into a response led site with the ultimate aim of increasing income and engagement from the public and the Orbis UK supporter community.

You will be joining Orbis UK at an exciting time as we have rapidly grown over the past few years, with our income increasing from under £3M in 2010 to over £8M in 2017. We are also in the midst of an organisational wide digital transformation programme. We are looking to innovate and adapt to ensure we are best placed to succeed in a digital climate. Every member of the organisation is involved in this process and your input will be vital.

Salary:

£35K-£38K per annum, subject to experience

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Enhancing our website visitors’ experience through proactive management of the Orbis UK website.
  • Working with colleagues across the charity to develop and deliver web based engagement strategies, journeys and content, with a particular focus on story-telling, and optimising engagement through online media.

- Optimising and monitoring the platform to meet our organisational strategic aims with a particular focus on external relations.

- Managing our website and associated online & offline channels (Search Marketing, integration with paid social activity (in conjunction with fundraising and communications colleagues) and email engagement).

- Developing new, and refine existing, web based products ensuring that they are driven by audience insight.
