Stephen has been supporting Orbis since 2009 and taken on a number of incredible challenges to raise money for our work. He’s about to take on one of his biggest challenges yet – the Patagonia 100 mile Run.
A mountain trail race, it features over 8,000m positive elevation and passes through some of the most beautiful natural scenery across the Patagonia mountains – but you’ve got to complete it in 36 hours!
Stephen says: “Charity runners play a role in bridging the gap between donors and charitable organisations. Our donation can transform the lives of many visually impaired people worldwide by supporting doctors and other medical personnel, screenings/examinations and surgeries and long term projects.
I believe that Orbis and I share a similar vision; we both hope to effect changes in others’ lives through our own lives. I hope every step I take will help bring the right treatment to the patients of Orbis and in helping more people in need in 2018.”
The best of luck to Stephen on what is sure to be an amazing achievement! If you want to help him towards his goal, you can find his fundraising page here:
